Story
Get to Know Us
At Rainbow Asia Tour, we believe travel should feel like both an adventure and a homecoming, a space where every traveler, especially those from the LGBTQIA+ community, feels safe, seen, and celebrated. Allies and supportive travelers are also warmly welcomed, creating an environment where everyone can connect, learn, and grow together.
Founded by a queer Japanese woman, Rainbow Asia Tour was born from a real need, safer and more welcoming travel experiences in places where many queer travelers have felt invisible or uncomfortable. After encountering awkward or even distressing moments while exploring parts of Asia, our founder asked:
"Why not build something better?"
The result is a boutique travel company offering curated small-group tours designed with care, culture, and community at the heart, while providing a truly high-quality experience. Our tours are not just about visiting places, they are about traveling in comfort, style, and luxury so every moment feels effortless, immersive, and memorable.
Our Commitment to You

A Message from the Founder

Elina Tani-Erichson
“Growing up in Japan, living in Singapore, and traveling across Asia brought me immense joy and also moments of challenge as a queer traveler navigating spaces that weren’t always welcoming. I founded Rainbow Asia Tour because I believe you should never have to choose between safety and authenticity.
This isn’t just a tour company, it’s my love letter to queer travelers and their allies who want to explore Asia with confidence, curiosity, and community. Every journey is carefully designed to ensure you feel supported, valued, and free to fully enjoy every moment. Come travel with us, and experience Asia in a way that’s vibrant, safe, and unforgettable.”
